About Us

Welcome to the official site of Jerusalem Community Church. My name is Jacques Francois, Pastor. Our aim is to keep you informed of the activities and programs of the church. We have opened our doors at the same location since March 23, 2003.  We thank the members and friends of Jerusalem Community Church for their love, support and encouragement to this ministry. May God bless you all.

As a Christian Church, our primary mission is to preach the Gospel of Jesus-Christ, as the apostle Paul admonishes to Timothy: “Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage with great patience and careful instruction”. ( 2 Tim 4:2 ); (NIV).  We have been doing just that for many years and we will continue to do the same, both at the local and international level. Our Master, our Lord Jesus-Christ commands us, before ascending to heaven, to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything  he has commanded us. He has promised to be with us always till the very end of age. As servants of God, we are obliged to spread the word to the world, so that everyone may come to know God through his Son, Jesus-Christ. As a father of twin boys, I feel compelled to disseminate the good news to everybody. By doing so, we are showing that we love God and we love our neighbors. It is well stated in God’s commandments, according to Matthew, to love our God with all our heart, with all our soul and with all our mind; and to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. That is the reason why we first planted the church to respond to the spiritual need of the flock of God, to glorify his name and be thankful to him for the gift of life.

This is our testament to love the Creator for who He is and for what He has done. However, the commandment will be incomplete if we only stay there. Our mission will be unfulfilled if we do not touch the second part: to love our neighbors as ourselves. How does Jerusalem community Church can demonstrate that love? Together, the Church and all of you can do it by helping us with this project. This is a tangible and concrete way to make it happen. Our goal is to have a Youth Center for education, Mentoring and counseling services. Let us say Community Services for Young, young adults and adults servicing the areas of Broward and Miami-Dade counties. The reason for doing it is that many kids are left unsupervised with homework. This lack of supervision is due either because their parents are busy at work or because they are unable to help. These unsupervised youngsters are felt behind and sometimes they get discouraged by joining gang activities to satisfy their curiosity and or as a pastime. This path is not good for the well-being of our society. Those kids are deficient in guidance and they need to be good citizens. They need mentors and role models.

Many adults who are recently migrating and living in the US do not speak English and therefore are unable to communicate for their basic needs; they too are left behind. To remediate to such anomaly, we propose to provide English classes nearby the church, where they can not only receive spiritual guidance for their soul, but also learn English a second language. In so doing, youngsters and adults will live a life worth living. Additionally, we need counselors to heal their spiritual and emotional pains. Also, we plan to offer computer skills for those who need them. We are offering now music classes consisting of piano and drums.

We are asking you for your prayers and your support so together we can make it happen. Please visit the website and make a contribution. This donation is tax deductible because we are a non-profit organization. We hope that God had already put in your hearts the desire to fund this project; if that is true, do not resist your inclination or hesitate to do so. To know more about Jerusalem Community Church, his vison, his staff or myself, send me an email or give me a call and I will be glad to speak with you.

Nothing is impossible with God, and we are counting on you.

To God’s glory,

Pastor Jacques Francois, MDiv
